Hello,
How can I customize the start menu for users in a remote desktop group.
Hide the following:
the administrative tools
the Control panel
My Computer
The search and run button
Recen program
and desable the rightklick on the start button.

A lot of those settings can be found under User Configuration>Policies>Administrative Templates>Start Menu and Taskbar in GPMC.

Hi,
With Windows Server 2008 R2 besides GPO settings you can also use GPP to accomplish start menu customizing:
User Configuration\Preferences\Congrol Panel Settings\Start MenuThere is no existed setting to disable the right click on start button, a close option is to disable drag/drop on start menu:
Navigate to User Configuration>Policies>Administrative Templates>Start Menu and Taskbar\Remove darg-and-drop and context menus on the Start Menu, click "Enabled".

Hi,
Of course you can do that. You can just link the GPO to the OU which contains only those users you want to be applied, or you can use Security Filtering to make GPO only apply to groups you specified.

When I apply these settings will they affect all users inclusiv the administrator?
Can I apply these to specific user-group?
