How to export gpos

    Question

  • Hi,
     
    We have 2 domains with in same ip series. Communication also is there between 2 domains.
     
    First domain name     :  kkd (in kkd users1 OU created)
    Second domain name : upd (in upd users2 OU created)
     
     I  applied some group policies to "users1" in kkd domian
     
    I want same group policies "users2" in upd domain.
     
    how to expert group policies "users1"(kkd) to "users2"(upd)

  • You can backup all the the GPO's using Group Policy Management Console under Forest > Domains > DomainName > Group Policy Objects right click Backup All... You can then copy the back up file to the new domain use the import settings wizard that can be used with a migration table to make sure all the domain specific values (such as domain name) are renamed to the new domain name...

    We are having 1 0 00 clients(example). We are having WSUS server 3.0 (sp2).each of the client having is no admin rights & internet access. Every time we are manually installing WSUS updates in client systems. We are installing WSUS updates by running batch file In each and every client system .

     

    So we spending a lot of time in installation of wsus update’s…..?

                                                

                          I request you to provide how to push updates from WSUS server with  above conditions in the client’s system’s automatically.

    The policy is at:
    CompConf\[Policies]\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Windows
    Update - "Specify intranet Microsoft update service location". You put
    in the http address of the WSUS server, like http://wsus-internal or
    http://10.1.1.10.

    Other settings are in the same location - you surely want to look at
    those, too.

    I want know how to set connection between group policies (domain controller) and wsus server..And all system in the domain controller must be added in the wsus server, for this above requiremet what step i need to do on wsus server, as well on the client system's.

    On server side in domain controller what steps i should do to implement in group policy?
