  • there no GUI in nano server... none, not even a command prompt or powershell console. You cannot log in locally to nano server - it can only be administrated remotely. There is also no option to add GUI components, you'll need to reinstall the server. There is no support for running 32-bit binaries on nano. Basically, nano server is a platform for running a pre-defined and rather small set of server roles like hyper-v, sofs and application server. Everything that is not needed to support these roles is removed, resulting in a significantly smaller footprint. See Getting started with nano server for more info.
