https RSS feed is not working

Question
-
we got http and https link for rss feed, http is working but not https.
we have added cert in CA still we are getting error
The requested RSS feed could not be displayed. Please verify the settings and url for this feed. If this problem persists, please contact your administrator.
can some one suggest what else missing in our environment

Hi Appaji,
Did you configure the RSS URL in the RSS viewer web part?
To troubleshoot the issue, check things below:
1. Add the proxy settings in your site web.config File. For more detailed information, refer to the article below.
RSS feed could not be displayed.

2. Reset IIS.
3. Check LAN Setting in Internet Explorer ->Internet Options->connection->LAN settings.

Thank you Sara, we have tried given settings still no success.
but we were able to browse RSS feed(https) url in browser without any issues, also SharePoint is able to show data for http RSS feed

I suggest you could consider using http link for RSS feed in the RSS viewer web part.

Thank you Sara, problem is source is not providing http link, they are allowing only https.
is there any way to trace where it is blocking, logs are not showing any error on this. we are able to browse using IE so no issues in security/firewall

Hi Appaji,
You can use fiddler tool to monitor the request from SharePoint after configuring the https URL in RSS viewer web part.

Hello Appaji,
This is a common issue with an easy fix. Please add a trailing forward slash to the end of the RSS URL and make sure there is no trailing white space.
