Microsoft Remote Desktop folders?

  • Hi all,

    is there a way to categorize my RDPs items in folders and subfolders, in order to better manage all my connections?

  • Have you tried Remote Desktop Connection Manager? This allows you to organise Remote Desktop sessions into groups/ folders. https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=44989

  • On the RDP client if you expand the down arrow you have more option including an option to save the settings. Just save each of the connection setting and then you can make your own folder structure and place them where you wish.

    Personally I far prefer the Remote Desktop Connection Manager suggested above but these day's it's got security holes into it so got banned from our workplace by our IT Security guys, not sure exactly what the security issues were though to quote them :(
