Setting up Bonjour Service Proxy on MS DNS
Question
-
hello there
Has anyone yet had to configure the Bonjour Service Proxy on MS DNS servers? This is the service that allows the publishing of printers to Apple devices, such as Macs, Ipads ect, allowing the to print to networked printers.
The following guide talks about creating _udp.domain.com and _tcp.domain.com zones in DNS for PTR and TXT records. Is there any chances of any risks or issues?

Hi Stephane,
Thanks for posting here.
Adding sub zone is a very normal and simple management operation in windows DNS service. So for simple this will not cause any issue .

May I know if we already have domain on this Windows DNS server ? and is that zone same name as the zone we are planning to create ?
Since this is a software form third party so We not guarantee if it will cause any potential issue in future and will suggest to confirm with their support service in order to get the proper way to set this service up.Regards,
