DHCP Settings without Superscope RRS feed

  • Question

  • On an existing domain controller, one scope is set to 172.16.196.1 - 172.16.197.254. When I try to replicate that to allow more IP's in a new scope I'm prompted to create a Superscope, which appears to make two scopes. How can this be done without superscoping?

  • Hello fuzbuster83,

As you can see in your subnets there are two different subnets when you created them because of that DHCP will create a super scope in order to host those IP Pools.
