Activating purchased key Server 2012 R2 Error RRS feed

  • Question

  • Greetings,

Looking to activate Windows 2012 R2 with a purchased key.  However, I get an Error:

0xC004F069 On a computer running Microsoft Windows non-core edition.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

  • It probably says non-code edition. Are you running an eval?

Please run the following commands from an elevated command prompt:

    dism /online /Get-CurrentEdition

    dism /online /Get-TargetEditions

Report back with the command outputs and what version of Windows the purchased key is for.

  • I'd check that the product key channel lines up with the channel of distribution media used for installation.

  • Hi,

For your issue, please run the command:

    Slui.exe 0x2a 0xc004f069

And then you could get the detail of the error code:

You could try the following command to find available target editions:

    DISM.exe /Online /Get-TargetEditions

    Then change your target edition:

    DISM /online /Set-Edition:ServerStandard /ProductKey:XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX /AcceptEula

Besides, please refer to the following link and check if it helps:

Hope can help you. Have a nice day!

    Best Regards,

    Kiki
