DNS server for DC in new site RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Guys,

what should I use a DNS server for a new DC in new site for same domain? Lets say, I have one site(192.168.1.0/24) with 2 DCs, now i want to create a new site (10.0.0.0/24 - lets say, it is in a new city) with separate network, where is no DC. So I should use a DNS server for the first new DC in new site a "PDC" from first site or what should I use? Or what is the best practice, if you are installing new site in same domain...

    I'm sorry, if I selected bad Category/Forum...

  • Hi,

Thanks for posting in the forum.

There is no mandatory requirement to install DNS server in different sites in the official documents. So you can set up a DNS server but it is not strictly necessary
