Installing MPSA RDS User CAL on a Windows 2016 RD Licensing Server

    Question

  • I'm trying to install RDS User CALs purchased through an MPSA with no luck. I have tried selecting every agreement type and used the agreement number which is 10 digits long not the normal 7 or 8 for an EA and no matter what combination I try I am unable to license the server.

I believe I should be using the "Other Agreement" option but don't know if I'm using the correct agreement number as its quite long.

    any help is welcome.

    Regards Michael

  • Hi Michael,

Have you tried using the Install Licenses wizard at https://activate.microsoft.com ?  There is an option for MPSA on there.

  • Hi TP

Yes, have tried activate.microsoft.com which steps through fine and reauthorises the server but then fails with an error on the final step of adding the CALs.
