  • Hi,

I am not sure if you had run Windows Server 2016 installed directly on your system, instead of the virtualization tool?

Run systeminfo via CMD to check current OS name and version. If it has been re-installed with WS2016, you need to re-install system or to do Factory Reset in order to restore original system.

Or, if there is available system backup file, we can reboot system from installation medium, then, choose repair this computer, then, select available backup file and try to restore the system.
