Converting files to Windows/Unix style ACL using .NET? RRS feed

  • Question

  • nfsfile can show and convert the ACL style for files.

/c - convert the file according to
w - Windows style ACL (Mapped)
x - Unix Style ACL (Unmapped)

Does anyone know how to do the same thing using .NET?
I've been looking for how to check this on the files/folders using .NET and PowerShell and also how to convert them if needed, but so far I haven't had any luck. Using nfsfile to convert between the modes will reset the ACL and turn off the inheritance, which is what I'm trying to avoid.

Do you guys have any idea?

Edited since this has become sort of an XY problem:
The answer doesn't have to have anything to do with .NET or programming at all. It could be a hidden switch, another tool, etc. I just want to change mode from Unix to Windows on millions of files without breaking the inheritance.
