I'm new to DPM2007 and have a question about an error I recieve every morning (6 of the to be exact). The error is:
The detailed inventory of tape failed for the following reason (ID 3316). Operation failed since the slot 22 in library IBM TotalStorage 3573 Tape Library was empty. This tape is currently present in I/E Port slot 2 (ID 24027) Use the front panel of your library to move the tape from its current location to the slot specified above.
I have tapes in slot 1 to 20 and slot 40 and slot 44. The tapes have been there since they first was installed, no new tapes has been added. I have run the detailed inventory job manually.
Is there something I need to do on the server? Any settings in DPM that can result in this? Also, the backups seem to be fine despite this error message. I have been in contact with Dell and the hardware is ok and the problem lies somwhere in DPM according to Dell.
