.net framework 4.0 not available RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have need for .net framework 4.0 in our offices. While I can push out versions 1 to 3.5 sp2 version 4.0 is not available on our Wsus server (version 3.2.7600.226) nor I noticed in Windows Update when I search there.

    2 questions

Could I be doing something wrong to have .net 4.0 not show up?

If not is there a time frame or some site to see when .net 4.0 will be sent to WSUS machines?

I would prefer not to use SCCM or Group Policy for this deployment but I do realize it is a option.

    Thank you

    Correct.

    Nope.

Not that I'm aware of. Most likely it's in package authoring right now, being modified to support unattended/silent installation, and as soon as it's ready it'll be released. I wouldn't be surprised at all if it shows up on the standard non-crit release date... the 4th Tuesday of the month: June 22nd... but that's just speculation on my part. I have no information whatsoever. Kudos to your organization for having a .NET4 application ready for deployment so soon after release of VS2010 and .NET4!
