One RDS Session Host loading temporary profiles RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a Server 2012 R2 RDS deployment with two servers. RDS1 is the Gateway, Broker, and a session host and RDS2 is a second session host. It is configured to use User Profile Disks. When users connect if they get into RDS1 their profile loads without issue. If they get RDS2 they will most likely get loaded a temporary profile, it occasionally works but more often than not it doesn't.

I checked the disk for various users it's happening to and the disk isn't in use and I'm able to mount it manually. Also both RDS1 and RDS2 have full access to the individual disks as well as the whole folder they're in. Lastly I've removed any temporary profiles in the Users folder and any .bak registry entries. It appears to be an issue mounting the disk on RDS2. Any ideas where I should go from here?
