Windows 2008 Standard to Enterprise PKI Upgrade RRS feed

  • Hi All,

    I have just upgraded my Windows 2008 Standard server to Windows 2008 Enterprise to support all the enterprise features that are required to publish Windows 2008 Ent certificate templates.

    The upgrade itself was 100% successful, no issues at all. Now, when I try and add a certificate template into the CA for publishing, the Windows 2003/2008 templates still do not appear.

    Any ideas would be helpful! Thanks!

  • There is a quirk in upgrading from std to ent editions, the SKU of the OS does not get updated in the registry, so the server doesn't know that it changed.
