How do I change the default port 443 on Windows Server Essentials 2012?

  • I am trying to setup remote access to my server but port 443 is already in use with a different server on the same broadband setup, so I need to change it to allow access.

Also what do I need to change on the remote computers to connect to this port

  • This cannot be changed due to a dependency on RDGateway, which requires 443. Youll either need multiple IPs or an SSL aware reverse proxy at tour network edge.

  • Hi, thanks for the reply.

Can you explain a little more on what you mean about a SSL aware reverse proxy.

We share the broadband connection with another company so I don't think we can get another IP,  but I will ask.
