Unable to initialize HGS Server at W2019 RRS feed

  • OS: Windows2019. Can't initialize second node.

    ValidateSetHgsServerBindings : Host Guardian Service can only be changed to use HTTP and HTTPS together. If any ports

    I cleaned hgs configuration by Clear-HgsServer and reinstall hgs, but this did not lead to success.

  • Hi ,

    Which attestation modes did you use? AD-based attestation or TPM-based attestation?

    For how to initialize the HGS on the primary node in TPM mode and enable HTTPS, please refer to the following command:

    Initialize-HgsServer -HgsServiceName "SecureFabricHgs" -EncryptionCertificateThumbprint $EncryptionCert.Thumbprint -SigningCertificateThumbprint $SigningCert.Thumbprint -http -https -HttpsCertificatePath $PathToPfx -HttpsCertificatePassword $PfxSecureString

  • TPM based.

    HGS was initialized on primary node. I cant init new node after in-place upgrade 2016 to 2019.

    i've had this headache for 3 days and clean reinstall HGS cluster to 2019.
