  • Hi,

Yes, of course you can. But question is whether you need a child domain.

Create a new child domain when you want to create a domain that shares a contiguous namespace with one or more domains. This means that the name of the new domain contains the full name of the parent domain. For example, sales.microsoft.com would be a child domain of microsoft.com. As a best practice, you create new domains as children of the forest root domain.

You can create a new child domain by creating a new domain under a parent domain using the Active Directory Installation Wizard. For information about how to create a new child domain, see Create a new child domain.

However, I don’t think you need to create child domain on these branch offices, I think what you need is create site for them.

Sites in AD DS represent the physical structure, or topology, of your network. Domain controllers and other servers that use sites publish server objects in AD DS to take advantage of the good network connectivity that sites provide. You place domain controllers into sites according to where the domain data is needed. For example, if no users from a domain are physically located in a site, there is no reason to place a domain controller for that domain in the site.

If you want to deploy a Child domain, please refer to this article:

Checklist: Creating a new child domain

However, I recommend creating a site for each branch offices:
