The requested security package does not exist (After enabling SSP)

    Question

  • Hello,
In the main, I have a working installation of TSWebAcess and Terminal Services.
I only had a slight small issue where external clients (XPSP3) would have to try and launch the app twice before it would actually launch.
This is a known issue within RDC7 (969084)

So, I then followed the suggested steps about enabling SSP as it's turned off in XPSP3 by default (951608)
However, once I perform the steps in 951608 to enable SSP, the clients return "the requested security package does not exist" and fail to launch the app at all.
Both my TSGateway and terminal server have network level authentication unchecked.

    Any help appreciated,

  • I have seen this after enabling CredSSP but then not rebooting.

  • No bloody way!

    "If in doubt, reboot!"

    Thanks Aaron, much appreciated!
