BEX Error


  • We have a machine running Server 2008 R2 with Terminal Services installed. The software we use for our business is Attache (attwinc.exe)
    On first run after reboot, it works fine, but any time after that, it crashes with the following message,
    We have tried turning off the UAC
    checked that we have full rights
    allowed Attaché’s attwinc.exe  through the firewall
    tried running as Administrator and running in compatibility mode as well.

  • I believe the solution to my problem (and perhaps anyone esle with a BEX / "*.exe" problem) might be to turn off DEP.

    I have done this and my attwinc.exe is not causing a problem with the server software - HURRAY!!
