BatchPatch - Do you know this tool? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all!

Guys, do you know this tool http://batchpatch.com/?

If some of you have already utilized it, please write here your considerations about it! I'm intended to utilize this tool to do some "online" reboot, for those desktops that I don't want to wait the scheduled reboot...

    Thanks!

  • I use it in our environment for approximately 800 servers, and it works well.  You want to make sure to get the latest version, as there were some weird bugs, mostly related to antivirus software seeing it as a virus.  Also, there are very specific install requirements (mostly .Net version and the psexec utility), so make sure you read all the documentation on the website.  The guy who writes the software is pretty responsive to questions and issues.

    Hope that helps,
