How to configure and install a SelfSSL certificate on a Windows 2003 R2 server & Client PC

    Question

  • I have a Windows server 2003 R2, that we keep getting "Certificate has expired".  These are selfssl certificates that were created by an old vendor when the systems were installed.

What are the steps to creating a selfssl cerficate with a 1 year life cycle?

We do not have a test system to work with so this has to be right

  • Hi,

If you want to create a self-signed SSL certificate for IIS or TS gateway, there are integrated wizards you can count on to create selfssl certificates.

Otherwise, you can get the SelfSSL tool from IIS resource kit to you generate and install a self-signed SSL certificate.
