Can anyone help me to different between windows server 2008 and windows server 2008 R2,What is the main reason to launch windows server 2008 R2 .What are extra feature in windows Server 2008 R2 ?

Server 2008 has the same kernel as Vista and is available for both 32 and 64 bit platforms.
Server 2008 R2 has the same kernel as Windows 7 x64 and is available only for 64 bit platforms.Also, refer
