Error after joining a server to domain ( server is 2016) RPC server unavailable. RRS feed

  •  Error after joining a server to domain ( server is 2016) RPC server unavailable.

    1. DNS all resolving

    2. Connectity to server and dc is fine.

    3.Secure channel is good.

    4. No credentials issue.

    5.It is enterprise production environmet.

    6.all firewall are stopped.

    7.Correct VLAN

    8.object in DC created correctly.

    I am suspecting on port and need to check via n/w team

    In Server Manager...in MMC...in Logs...???

    Thank you for posting in our TechNet forum.

    1. Where do we see the error "RPC server unavailable"? On server 2016 or on DC?

    2. What action do we perform when we see this error?

    3. If we see the error on DC, we can check if the DC works fine and whether AD replication is OK.

    Check whether DC work fine: run Dcdiag /v
    Check AD replication is OK: run repadmin /showrepl and repadmin /replsummary


    We may need to grab the network packet to analyze this error message.
