    Question

  • Hi ,

I have using open filer 2.3 ( I am new to open filer)  & win 2003 EE SP2 32bit  in Vmware workstation 6. Using open filer 2.3 ,i tried to assign a quorum disk to win2003 EE.I got lots of problem like ,not yet implemented , Authentication Failure & etc,. all errors has been cleared. But still i am not able to assign a quorum disk due to "  Event ID 1 : Initiator failed to connect to the target. Target IP address and TCP Port number are given in dump data" error.I searched lots of sites mentioned that connection problem , hot fix problem & etc.I tried every things but still that problem available. Can anyone provide a solution.

  • This seems to be specific to OpenFiler and isn't really a cluster question. I'd recommend that you address questions about Open Filer on their community forums found here:

  • Hi T.Rajaji

John is correct. This is not the right forum for this.

Initiator failed to connect to the target. Target IP address and TCP Port number are given in dump data.
This event is logged when the initiator could not make a TCP connection to the given target portal. The dump data in this event will contain the Target IP address and TCP port to which initiator could not make a TCP connection
