authorize a DHCP server in AD DS

    Question

  • I have installed a new AD DC in a forest so far everything is working great except my new DC is not authorized to be a dhcp, does the main DC in the forest have to authorize the new dc to be a dhcp server in the new site or am i doing something wrong

  • To authorise DHCP server You need to be a Enterprise administrator group. I think your account does not have this. So ask the person who has this access to authorize the DHCP server.

Note - Only one Enterprise administrator group will be available in entire forest.

Refer below link which will explains how to grant the access.
