    Windows10にてコンポーネント版WSL2+UbuntuをMicrosoft Storeからインストールしていました。
    WSLをストア版にするため、Ubuntuのアンインストール、Linux用Windowsサブシステムを無効にしました。

    WSLのストア版をインストールしました。

    まだこの時点でUbuntuのディストリビューションをインストールしていませんし、
    アプリケーションの追加と削除の一覧に、「ubuntu」は記載されていません。

    またMicrosoft Storeの「Ubuntu」も「入手」状態になっています。

    しかし、下記のように表示されております。また「ターミナル」からも「Ubuntu」が選択でき、実行できます。
    この状況が理解できません。教えてください。

    PS C:\..\xxx> wsl -l -v

    Hello,

    this is because the WSL Ubuntu installation comes with a fully functional kernel of Ubuntu, as specified in the official article.

    While WSL 1 used a translation layer built by the WSL team, WSL 2 includes its own Linux kernel with full system call compatibility. The advantages include:

    A whole new set of apps that you can run within WSL, such as Docker.

    Updates to the Linux kernel will be available immediately. (You don't have to wait for the WSL team to implement updates and add changes.)
