默认是不启用的，你需要自己启用Windows Search 服务。
原因：
By default, the Instant Search service is not enabled on Windows 2008 server。
解决方法：
1) Start Server Manager
2) Click on Roles in the left navigation pane
3) Select Add Role in the Roles Summary pane to the right
4) Select the File Services role and click Next
5) Select the Windows Search role service
Finish the wizard and now you should have the Windows Search service up and running.
By the way,安装Windows Search 4.0会更好，比Vista和Server2008内建的搜索有更好的性能。
