  • Hi there.

We have three same Pineview platform boards whihc has the Realtel 8110D ethernet nmae has been changed issue with Win7 32bit O/S.

This board has two Realtek 8110D ethernet ports and we find the device name of the Ethernet ports has been shown the“Realtek RTL8168D/8111D Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.20#2)" and "Realtek RTL8168D/8111D Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.20)

When we replace the second same model board with the same SATA hard disk, we find the name has been chagned to"Realtek RTL8168D/8111D Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.20#3) and Realtek RTL8168D/8111D Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.20#4).

When replace the third board, it has been chagned to "Realtek RTL8168D/8111D Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC 6.20#5)and “Realtek RTL8168D/8111D Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.20#6).

We don't know why the Win7 32bit operation system will cause this issue to add the number of the Ethernet device name. But we use the same way to test the Windows XP 32 bit O/S without this issue.

Is there anyone can help to explain it and provide a solution for us? Thanks.
