When accepting an meeting invite the answer is sent to multiple uninvited people

    問題

  • Hi All,

Setup is an hosted exchange 2010 server environment with DC/CAS/HTS and MDB roles on separated servers.

I have a strange issue with one of our customers.

They have created a shared calendar in thier organisation administrator account and shared it with their colleagues.

When a meeting is created with an attendee a meeting request is sent to the attendee.

When the attendee accepts the request the reply is sent not only to the administrator but also to 3 other uninvited people within the organisation.

We have checked various permissions and delegates and are unable to find a reason why this is happening.

Can anyone point me in the right direction ?

    Kind regards,

    Klaas-Jan

  • Hi Jan,

Does the issue occur on all users or just a specific user?

Please also check if there is any transport rule will apply to these respond messages. That would cause the issue also.

  • Hi Niko,

    This happens to all users.

There is no transport rule present.

I might need to clarify a bit more what is happening.

When the user accepts the meeting request and clicks on send response now, the To field in the message is prepopulated with 4 recipients, so even before the message is sent.
Transport rules, which a not present, do not even apply yet as the message is not yet sent.

    Kind regards,

    Klaas-Jan

    Hi Jan,

Does this issue occur both in OWA and Outlook ? Will add 3 fixed users into "To" field or 3 randomly users?

  • Hi Niko,

    Sorry for the delayed reply.

Issue happens also in the webmail and it is always the same couple of users that are added to the reply.

    Kind regards,

    Klaas-Jan
