Lync 2013 DataExport folder growing RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi there,

Please excuse my rookiness when it comes to Lync 2013.

We've just recently deployed a Lync 2013 Std server, and I have notices that the following folder is growing at an alarming rate.

    Microsoft Lync Server 2013\Share\1-WebServices-1\StorageService\DataExport\

I've noticed that this is very similar to Exchange and circular logging, but on a much greater scale. Will I be affected if I start deleting past directories within the folder, or is there a way to set the logging so it overwrites the previous day's files?

    Thanks in advance!

  • The StorageService folder is new in Lync 2013 and is used by the Lync Storage Service (LSS) to store data that it uses with Exchange Server 2013 for a back-end data store.
