Outlook constantly using 40%+/-of CPU time RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have been running the beta version of Outlook 2010 successfully since it was first introduced.  Now suddenly Outlook has become the CPU hog.  It functions normally when I'm using it but when I minimize it to do something else it's still using approximately 40% of the CPU(s).  I've tried repairing it and reinstalling it but the problem still persists.  Also if I close Outlook I cannot restart it without rebooting or going into Process Explorer and closing the Outlook process?

I'm running Windows 7 x64 with 4 GB of ram and an Intel Duo processor on a Toshiba laptop.
