Key Management Service (KMS) inactivity exceeded threshold


  • We get this alert frequently, however, it appears to be raised in error.  The threshold is configured for 480 minutes of idle time, yet we have successful activations frequently, with the longest idle time(s) of approximately 2 hours. KMS server is working fine and without errors, clients are all registering successfully. We're running SCOM 2012 SP1.

    I'd like to keep the monitor in case there are KMS issues, so I'd like to figure out why it's firing even though idle time is not exceeding the threshold.

    Any help appreciated.
