Force uninstall an app RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is there a way to force uninstall/clean an App installation ? Is a weather one, I try to install it but it says that I already got it

When search for it I can't found it on my computer (writing the name and looking on All apps already)

I think the problema comes when the Store ask me for update the App, I click on update but the installation never ends. I restart the computer and now can't install/found/run it

Using Windows 8 Enterprise Evaluation 9200

  • Hi,

Please run the following command to get your installed Apps list, check whether the Weather app is listed.

    1. Open Powershell with elevated priviledge.

    2. Type Get-appxpacakge -allusers

If weather is listed, please type Remove-appxpackage Weather (App Package Full Name).

  • Thanks for the info. Is there a way to get it to check\fix itself? For whatever reason it is won't uninstall the package. I don't see an error message, it just hangs.
