Managed Mainframe Data Centers for the Kentucky Social Services Department. Planned and installed 152 field office local networks moving them from Mainframe to Client Server applications. Network Engineer for the Kentucky Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Cabinet. Redesigned the network to provide Gigabit speed service to 23 buildings in the state capital and secure encrypted service to 63 remote offices. Created a hot backup data center site for immediate failover in case of disaster. Deployed Cabinet firewalling to secure computer resources and protect sensitive and HIPPA data. Instituted terminal servers for remote access by field offices with slow internet connections and later began Application virtualization.
