Problem

The user is getting the following error on his Surface Pro 2 device when trying to connect to a wireless network:

"Install a driver for your network adapter - Windows could not detect a properly installed network adapter. If you have a network adapter you will need to re-install the driver."

Solution

Go through the steps to troubleshoot as described in Can’t connect to a wireless network

You may also try the following steps:

Don’t use this process on Surface RT or Surface 2.

  1. Power off Surface Pro 2.
  2. Hold Volume Up and the Power button for  about 10 seconds.
  3. Now release buttons.
  4. Wait for a few seconds.
  5. Press and release Power button of  Surface Pro 2 to restart.
