The Microsoft Computer Science Teachers Council is composed of three types of members:

  • Microsoft Employees:
    • Who lead computer science languages and tools and are passionate about leveraging those resources for educating children and adults about computer science.
    • Who lead programs to integrate computer science into educational systems.
  • Teachers or assistants who teach computer science to students of all ages, from Kindergarten to College.
  • Curriculum Providers or organizers of programs who seek to help set up teachers for success. 
 
The council exists for the following purposes:
  • To find opportunities to integrate Microsoft languages and tools into education, where it appropriately fits to meet existing needs.
  • To collaborate around improving and sharing curriculum for these technologies.
  • To help support teachers who are using Microsoft languages and tools to teach computer science.
  • To share tips and best practices for teaching computer science to the various age groups and regions.
