  •  We all should be eliminating the "Development" and "Deployment" configurations when upgrading BizTalk Visual Studio projects to BizTalk Server 2013.

  • The "Development" and "Deployment" configurations on the Solution Configuration window in Visual Studio should be deleted to match new development. 
​
  • It is a cleaner approach to eliminate the configurations when upgrading and match the way new BizTalk 2013 projects are configured by default.
​​
  • Making your upgraded projects match new development is the way to go, and makes your deployment scripts cleaner too.
