Introduction

This page provides a template with an alternative Table Of Contents, in case the built-in TOC feature does not suit you.

In some cases, you might need a simple alphabetical or numerical list in your TOC.

This page will show you a different way of building a TOC if a dynamic (auto-generated TOC) is not needed.

As it's a template, feel free to copy paste what you can use from this page (both from design or HTML  layout).

By creating headers, TNWiki will automatically generate the hyperlinks with the name of the headers.

Of course. you can generate them manually... using the following format

<h1><a name="<CHARACTER>"></a>A..Z .. 0..9</h1>

Important

Keep in mind there is a bug using '0' in the headers.

To fix this replace '0' (zero) by 'O' (letter 'o') in the HTML name tag.

In his article, we have used 'XO' (X0..X9) for numbers to avoid conflicts with the alphabetical TOC.

And if you want to make it really smart, you add a Back to Top or Return to Top link.
