Now Power View is avialbe in HTML5 as preview, should it now be able to display on mobile devices such as WP/iPad/Android?
I'm currently on SharePoint Online P2.
I'm able to save a xlsx file (with a Power View and PowerPivot model) to SharePoint, and then click on it to view in Power View in Excel Online.
My understanding is that if the browser supports silverlight the silverlight version will load automatically, if not, the HTML5 version will be displayed.
However, I can't get the Powerview to display at all on my WP8.1 phone. I've noticed that when I click on the xlsx file in SharePoint, the page opened has the url excel.officeapps.live.com where as if I clicked it in IE10 in my desktop the url starts with
mycompany.sharepoint.com I've also tested this on an android phone running 4.4 with no luck either.
I would like to know if it is possible to display the Power View on these mobile devices? If not, will this be implemented in the near future?
That worked! Thanks! I thought by tapping 'switch to PC view' in my Sharepoint site was enough, turns out it needed the browser setting too!
