I have a SSAS DB deployed (SQL Server 2008 R2) with a single role containing a single user. The user is a domain account and I have a scheduled tasks that runs an application as this account. The application process the DB then queries it however it randomly fails and the reason is always because the Role containing the user is no longer there. I don't delete the role and I have no idea why it disappears. Any ideas what could cause this behavior?
The <project name>.deploymentoptions file specifies one of the following role deployment options:
- Existing roles and role members in the destination database are retained, and only new roles and role members are deployed.
- All existing roles and members in the destination database are replaced by the roles and members being deployed.
- Existing roles and role members in the destination database are retained, and no new roles are deployed.
Please check the settings when you try to deploy your SSAS project. Or you can also try to use Deployment Wizard tool to deploy your SSAS project. For more information, please see:
If this issue still persists, please try to install the latest Service Pack for SQL Server 2008R2 to see if this help.

I have the latest SP installed. The problem doesn't occur when I deploy though since I haven't re-deployed the solution for quite some time
